Lapland has long been thought of as a winter destination, where northern lights, plentiful snow and a multitude of winter activities combine to fill your days. But when the snows melt away, and the long lazy days of summer arrive, a whole new adventure playground becomes accessible.
Outline Itinerary
Day
1. Arrive Finland, transfer to Ruka. Overnight at Papin Talo Guesthouse for 3 to 7 nights on a half board basis.
2 - 7. Daily activities including:
• River Rafting
• Hiking in Nature
• Fishing trip on the lake
• Use of canoes, boats and SUP Boards
• Finnish Sauna Experience
8. Transfer to Kuusamo airport to depart Finland.

Discover the delights of Kuusamo and Ruka, where Lapland begins, during the summer months when the days are long, the wilderness green and nature is at its very best.
Stay at the beautiful Iisakki Village on the shores of Lake Rukajärvi, just a 10-minute drive from Ruka. Papin Talo Guesthouse will be your home away from home and with its relaxed Finnish ambiance and tasty home-cooked fare you may not want to leave. But, outside there is so much to discover whether you choose to hike, bike or spend time on the water and there will be plenty of time to explore independently.
Three guided trips are included with rafting on the Kitkajoki river, a fishing adventure on the lake and a guided hike in nature followed by an all important relaxation session in the lakeside sauna. If time allows you may also include additional guided trips and a highlight for all wildlife enthusiasts would surely be an opportunity to witness the European brown bear in its natural environment from the safety of a hide.
Whether you are travelling as a couple, family or going solo, you may choose to stay between 3 and 7 nights at Papin Talo without compromising on the activities included. An excellent addition to this wilderness experience would be some urban exploration in the Captital city of Helsinki.
