Fantastic luxury lodges, simple tented camps and farmhouses; the accommodation in Namibia is as diverse as this spectacular country itself, making this is one of the great pleasures of a safari in Namibia.

Namibia

Having travelled by land and air across this overwhelmingly stunning country we urge you to explore as much as you can of Namibia as your time allows. Discover the remarkable desert-adapted wildlife in a magnificent wilderness setting. Wonder at the beautiful dunes of Sossusvlei and the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Or travel with conservationists seeking remote populations of wildlife in the north.

Namibia is a stark land of great geography, rugged mountain ranges and hauntingly beautiful deserts. The highlights of Namibia safari holidays are almost certainly the immense Etosha Pan and its wildlife at the waterholes, Damaraland with the desert-adapted elephants, rhinos and other wildlife of the dry river valleys; all backed by otherworldly volcanic scenery. As mentioned you should also walk among the giant sand dunes of Sossusvlei, perhaps explore the great Fish River Canyon and the desolation of the Skeleton Coast.

With good hard-top and graded roads, Namibia safaris are easily accomplished as self-drive holidays and there is an excellent selection of lodges and guest farms, ensuring an almost infinite number of other beautiful places can be seen on any safari in Namibia. Routings around the country are logical and combinations of flights and driving are possible although for luxury safaris the best way to travel is to fly between lodges and use guides and 4x4 vehicles on location.
