Discover the delights of a unique experience from the edge of the frozen Bothnian Bay. Overlooking the Islands of the Luleå archipelago, Brändön Lodge boasts an enviable coastal location and allows you to fully explore the frozen landscapes as you undertake various winter activities in the surrounding forests and out on the seemingly endless pack ice of the frozen sea. Return to the lodge each evening to dine on delicious Lappish cuisine before retiring to your cosy cabin.
Day 1:
On arrival in Luleå transfer to Brändön Lodge where you will be kitted out with your winter clothing and shown to your cosy cabin before a fabulous 2-course dinner is served this evening.
Day 2:
This morning head into the forest by snowshoe to learn some valuable Nordic winter skills which will set you up for the rest of your stay in the Arctic. The adventures step up a pace this afternoon as you switch your mode of transport to a husky drawn sled and whiz through the forest trails on an exhilarating dog sled safari.
Day 3:
Today a unique adventure awaits as you explore Lulea's frozen archipelago in an unusual way on board a hovercraft. Nowhere else in Swedish Lapland is this experience available! Later, as darkness falls, strap on your snowshoes once again to enjoy dinner under the stars as you seek the northern lights.
Day 4:
There is nothing quite like travelling at speed through the snow-covered forests or across the frozen waters of Bothnian Bay by snowmobile, and today you may choose which area you would most like to explore on an adrenaline fueled safari.
Day 5:
All good things must come to an end but you are sure to depart Lapland with new found friends and lasting memories of a truly fantastic stay.
