Fishing the Nile

Highlights: Fly and lure fishing for giant Nile perch in Murchison Falls National Park - Safari activites

One of Uganda's most experienced fly-fisherman and safari expert will guide you to fishing in the maelstrom of water at the bottom of one of the most phenomenal waterfalls in the world. Using flys or lures you will be targetting huge Nile perch up to 200lb in weight. Sure to put up a fight, this is fishing in one of Africa's prime locations and a unique experience. The location is superb in the heart of the African bush and it is possible to have a fully serviced camp near the top of the falls or to use one of the good safari lodges downstream. There is plenty to keep you occupied away from the fishing. A Nile cruise for an afternoon or searching for leopards in the delta area of the park. The grasslands hold plenty of game among the borassus palms. Further afield we can organise safaris and fishing around Queen Elizabeth National Park and visits to the chimps and other primates at Kibale and the gorillas of Bwindi Forest National Park.
