Hungary - Autumn Birds
Highlights: 70 000 common cranes - great bustard - saker falcon - rough legged buzzard - lesser white-fronted & red-breasted geese are a few of the early winter arrivals that can be expected
October sees the impressive through-migration of Common Cranes in Eastern Hungary with over 70,000 from northern Europe residing for several weeks and this is sure to be a highlight of your trip.Of course, there are also some other great birds around at this time including a good variety of raptors, waterfowl and woodpeckers.
