This tour takes you to some of the special places renowned for birds in Northern India. You will visit the bird sanctuary at Bharatpur, continue on to the important protected river system at Chambal before spending the remainder of your time birding in the productive Himalayn foothills around Corbett National Park, where there is always the chance of seeing tigers and wild elephants too.
Itinerary:
1. Depart UK, arrive Delhi.
2. Morning train to Bharatpur. Afternoon at leisure to relax from journey.
3. Early morning birding at Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary. Day to relax and evening birding locally.
4. Morning birding at the Sanctuary and then to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri. Visit Agra Fort.
5. Sunrise visit to Taj Mahal and then continue to Chambal Reserve. Afternoon river trip.
6. Early morning birdwatching at Chambal Reserve. Afternoon board train to Lal Kuan. Overnight on board.
7. On arrival transfer to Corbett National Park in the Himalayan foothills. Birdwatching walk in the forest in the evening.
8. A long morning walk, birding locally with a chance to see village life.Evening bird watching around camp.
9. Safari into Corbett National Park. Overnight at resthouse in the reserve.
10. Early morning safari and return to lodge for birding by the river in the afternoon.
11. Safari excursions into the park.
12. Early morning bird watching, later return to Delhi.
13. Depart Delhi, arrive UK.
