Kwetsani Camp

Kwetsani Camp is an intimate luxury tented camp on its own island in the heart of the delta and located in a private reserve. This stylish camp is built on raised decking beneath mangosteen and fig trees and is one of our favourite camps in the Botswana. Each of the well-spaced rooms are built under thatch with en-suite facilities including his and hers basins, indoor and outdoor shower. They are comfortably furnished to enhance the natural setting.

The bar, restaurant and lounge are all under a large thatch with open decking built around the trees. There is also a small swimming pool built just above the floodplain. The camp and each room looks out from the shade of the trees over an enormous grassland floodplain on which a wide range of animals gaze and predate.

Activities from camp include mokoro trips (dug out canoes), walking on palm-fringed islands and game drives on nearby Handa Island. Night drives are also possible. Lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, buffalo and elephant are all found in this area, as well as good concentrations of zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and all the plains game.
