Lapa Rios is a small lodge with just 16 private cottages set in 1000 acres of private lowland rainforest on the Osa Peninsula. The whole project is built on sustainable initiatives and is designed to help protect this stunning region and support local communities.
The main lodge sits over 100m above the sea affording tremendous views and catching the cooling breeze. Beneath are some lovely, remote beaches. A feature of the main lodge is its panoramic lookout over the forest canopy.
This is a place to come to towards the end of a holiday in Costa Rica to both relax and to enjoy the abundant nature. It is also ideally suited to families who enjoy an active holiday. At Lapa Rios there are a number of different activities available to help explore and understand the special nature of this area and help towards its sustainability.
